Mount Kimbie Myspace
Dominic Maker and Kai Campos met at university and began making music together in a home studio in Peckham, London.
The duo have developed a truly unique sound whose experimental rhythms lend themselves to the fringes of dubstep, wonky and hip hop, but ooze with emotion and echoing ambient soundscapes that take the listener to an entirely different place.
Listening to ‘Blind Night Errand’, you can understand how they’ve evolved from the dubstep clubbing scene; the song is respondent with understated dubby pulses and ambient vocals. ‘Before I Move Off’ is more delicate however, with experimental percussion and haunting, compelling melodies. Having previously released a series of EPs and remixed the likes of The XX and Foals, ‘Crooks and Lovers’ has defined Mount Kimbie as an original and exceptional act, an act whose music can’t be tethered to just one genre. Abundant in paradoxes, the album floats through dubstep and hip-hop, jazz, techno, post-rock, UK garage and film scores to startling effect. With stellar performances at Field Day, Bestival and clubs & festivals across Europe this year, also supporting Caribou and the XX, Mount Kimbie have just returned for their first US tour and continue to go from strength to strength.

Jakob Seidensticker is, among other things, an integral cog in the wheel of the Hamburg trio Wareika. The ‘I Feel Loved’ EP brings the listener on a chunky, groovy, house ride, with the opening title track setting the wheels in motion in impressive fashion. Certain to yield an impressive response across the electronic music spectrum, the rounded, widely appealing, dance floor focused sound on display here as a far cry from the at times monotonous deep house sound which at times plagues its mother imprint.

“Expressions”, well this might sound a bit simple, but lets face it, there is a lot music out there wich does not really express too much of an emotional and soulful attitude. So when you boil things down to what you really want to hear these days, it is something really personal and intense. Max Cooper has over the last 2 years become one of the figureheads of modern composed electronic music on Traum and is gaining popularity rapidly amongst those who like beautifully crafted and composed electronic music.
This is genuinly extremely beautiful music! Ripple is overwelming in it’s emotional impact and makes you feel touched and at the same time makes you want to run over the hills. The Marc Marzenit remix is definitely also worth noticing!

Bukaddor & Fishbeck Myspace
Bukaddor & Fishbeck are masters in transforming themselves into something else. So when you hear “Glaedys” you will instantly feel that Bukaddor & Fishbeck have done it again. Euphoric vocal snippets chasing each other, FX sounds evolving from the depth of the bass, filters opening with the speed of light… this is spiritual music…”Cosmic Voodoo Music” at its best. “Glaedys” really sets off a fireworks of Caribbean, hedonistic, minimal dance craze… But please judge for yourself!
“Vocoloco” on the flipside is a tuff track. Unleashing energy with an easiness of of a marvel superhero… this is a real knocker. The track starts with “trippy drugged out minimalism” and evolves into a kind of Hi Energy track to really set all dance floors on fire. We have comes across a bit of that in the past, but this is unique combination again.
