Citizen Kain had their first release with MBF and created quite a stir with their
pounding a-side track „Doppelgänger“ seven months ago.
Their new ep „Joker of the Queen“ is a legitimate follow up with its monstrous
bad drums and hitting percussions and ghostly whispers!
The a-side and title track „Joker of the Queen“ is sheer rave alarm with fog,
strobe and 303. The alternation of beat, breaks and cool rave sounds creates a
cool techno environment.
„Borderline“, „Morning Glory“ and „En Apparte“ are brothers of the same kind
and close the door on Citizen Kain´s new rave sound.
As a digital bonus track we see another Koook remix popping up. After remixing
Michel Cleist´s „Deconstructed“ the mysterious man has again put his hands on
samples and has produced a brilliant remix of „Joker of the Queen“.

Yes the original of Tim Green’s track „Mr Dry“ worked great on the dance floors,
being supported heavily by Richie Hawtin, Claude van Stroke and Ricardo Villalobos.
Nwow the upcoming remix record really stands out, because all mixes contribute
something special and new to the original.
So expect Jakob Hilden, one half of the Trapez ltd duo Red Robin & Jakob Hilden
and cofounder of Format B, to rock the floor with his distinguished style that has made
many of his tracks so special. Jakob has refrained from using the vocal in it’s original
pitch and has added a different mega fat bassline and cool arrangements that play
with tiny bits of the original instead.
On the flipside we hear a more seductive and hypnotic remix of the Swiss artist
Dachshund, known for his great records on Num and his brilliant remixes.
Dachshund adds a nice adventurous hi-tech sound design to the original and
definitely is the man who can create a super flow. His „Bottomless“ remix works as
well with deep moments in your set as with peak time moments.
With his “Sir Flindt of Lophi” remix, Lophi has created a nice DJ tool which has a
super groove through focussing on just a few elements! One can call it a brilliant
classic minimal techno groover!

Wagon Repair is thrilled to announce the debut of Sex Trothler, alter ego of Berlin based
Detroit native Seth Troxler.
With releases on Spectral, Esperanza and Circus Company, Troxler is one of few Michigan
acts who have started bubbling out of Detroit’s underground and student party set over the
last few years. Names like Troxler, Ryan Crosson and Lee Curtiss are part of a new
generation of musicians from the Motor City who are merging European minimal house
and techno with local influences, not to mention adding a wacky brand of humour to
dance’s often dead seriousness.
Opener ‘Face (Tribute to Head)’ centres around ping pong live percussion, diving female
vocal and screwed male vocal-cum-atmospheric. Plodding bass and slowly released pads
support an undulating lead synth line in an hypnotic and deep house journey.
The ‘Interlude’ brings an element of humour to the record, with a funkadelic vocal
announcement mixed above a perversely wacked out electronic funk soundtrack.
To close, ‘Jus Your’ opens with a warm organ sound, disturbed vocal and deep synth
pulse. Breaking into a strutted rhythm, the mix is complemented by disorienting siren
tones, clattering percussion and surprise heavy bass melodies. Unabashedly deep and
sleazy, Sex Trothler has outdone himself.

As a producer, one of the most essential aspects of touring is being able to road test new tracks and
ideas in an authentic environment where the symbiotic relationship between artist and crowd can
often elevate a piece of music to unexpected new heights. Over the last 12 months if one track has
filled this criteria during Gaiser’s live sets then it’s Trunkated, the euphoric reaction it always induces
making it the obvious choice for the A side. It’s a real powerhouse that’s as complete as anything
you’re likely to hear this year. Every element is honed to perfection from the driving kick and molten
bass to the irresistible percussion parts, from the mischievous, dancing bleeps to the twisted synth
motif that seems to rip through the delicate fabric of reality. Sleek and deadly, it’s primed for peak
time abuse and will tear the roof off whenever and wherever it’s played.
The B-side offers up something a little different from the opening section of the LP. Face Down is a
departure in style for Gaiser in so much as it’s more atmospheric than his previously released material.
The beats are still pushing forward, alternating under the influence of a tight, metronomic snare but
the space in between allows more of the peripheral elements to slip through into the foreground not
least the cut-up vocal samples, whose strange, indistinct conversation penetrates deep into the
subconscious. The bassline, as is always the case with Gaiser productions, bubbles and simmers
with a clarity that defies its subsonic frequencies, while the intricate EFX and distance drones add a
feverish quality to the raw post-electro groove.
