Welcome to the Allien world
Finally! After her long expected fourth solo album “SooL” (BPC175), the first 12’’
SPRUNG/ITS (BPC176) is following immediately.
Is there anything left to say?
Ellen Allien stands for herself and her unique sound. Further, the dates for her globe
spanning “SooL Album Tour” are already confirmed and with the release at hand
we are proud to present two tracks off of the Album in extended vinyl versions.
A: Sprung
This track is characterized best by a permanent moving back and forth. Even by those
precisely used loops this tracks develops a very peculiar dynamic – far beyond any
monotony; it is just smooth.The basslines come up subliminal and accent the mysterious
effects. Meanwhile the track appears to stop for a short period of time – like the
hesitation on a 10 metres high diving platform, the short moment before you start
running and finally jump off.
B: Its
The B-Side-Killer is coming in an already known manner: driving and direct. Good to
know that this track has been created over a time span of 11 months. The concept
behind and its arrangement did not leave Ellen´s head – the track has been completely
developed in her mind and just had to be materialized appropriately. Not that easy,
but the long waiting has been quite fruitful. A rough and straight piece of music has
evolved, that goes forward and absorbs the listener completely!! That’s it – ITS.
