Tinitus Pärt (Feliks Thielemann) & Mathias Schwarz are Super Flu! They are in the true
sense of the word wizards! Their ability to lend tracks a feeling that neutralises gravitation
is unique. An invisible and flexible bond seems to exist, linking the different aspects of
techno music.
The two tracks “She” and “Tripple Mapple” on their stunning first release create a similar
energy as Nathan Fake´s “Dinamo”, but have a stronger “fusion” character. The duo
assimilates different styles such as techno and electronic music und fuses them in a musical
way that is breath taking! Both tracks make the transition from machine strength tightness
over acoustic sound cascades to melodies and still remain 100% clubby.
The tracks have an enormous flow to them, are adventurous, dive from heavy traffic of
sounds into a pool of quietness and ascent with dry keys! It seems like a “trip” or rather a
voyage or journey into another world. Contradictions, different levels of dynamic, all are
overcome through an great deal of musicality.
Still both track are not a mere construction of sound, but are full of joy, liveliness and
instinct for emotional music. They reveal that Tinitus Pärt & Mathias Schwarz are no
newcomers to the techno scene. Both of them have been producing music for some years
now. They have released a lot of remixes and some 12″s and work as DJs in Germany.
The “She” 12″ is a grand opener for records to come on Traum in the future and puts them
right next to a people such as James Holden, Dominik Eulberg, Minilogue, Extrawelt.
Last but not least it is important to mention: Super Flu do not limit their doings to music, but understand themselves as part of an “electronic lifestyle”.
