The youngest of 3 musical brothers, Matt Cavendar reluctantly earned the moniker ‘The Missing Link’ due to his ungainly posture and size 13 shoes; big shoes he has more than filled with his lauded releases on Mathew Jonson’s Wagon Repair and Seattle’s Depth Recordings.

Creating technical and glitchy techno, The Missing Link audibly draws influence from forward thinking 80′s bands like Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy and Nitzer Ebb, particularly present in last track ‘Unkle Bills Cabin’, which, with its nasty bass and marching pace, has an elementally heavy industrial edge.

‘Bur’ is the most breaky, abstract and busy cut on this record. While first track ‘Fishin’ is an experimental journey into IDM. A self prescribed ‘Audiographer’, here we are presented with a glitchy map of Matt’s vast sound collection, and a hint of what is yet to come from another Wagon Repair innovator.
