These two producers have had an excellent year of quality productions and collaborations but this one surpasses the lot. The a-side is an hypnotic groove that builds slowly around a deep, wide bassline, fluttering beats flying off from the 4/4 pulse and a a low melody gradually emerging and with it a solid dancefloor energy. The flipside is a similar affair, taking the substantial dubby density of the a-side and deeping it out a little further to make way for a Matthew Jonson-esque synth melody which pushes the euphoric side of the mix. A stunner!!!

Lee Van Dowski is a young French artist who settled in Geneva with his wife and their two children in 2000 to fine-tune his production skills. For the last 5 years he has dedicated himself to composing punchy electronic pieces. His sound now goes well beyond complex patterns and organic bleeps, connecting with funky minimal techno.
